Boothbay Chamber Music Festival at the Gardens by the DaPonte String Quartet and Guests
On Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday, August 18, 20 & 21, the DaPonte String Quartet - Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens 2008 Artists in Residence - will present the Boothbay Chamber Music Festival at the Gardens, consisting of three performances, each with guest artists (see programs below).
The members of the DaPonte String Quartet are Ferdinand Liva and Lydia Forbes, violin; Kimberly Lehmann, viola; and Myles Jordan, cello.
Deluxe multi-course picnic suppers themed to the concert programs, as well as à-la-carte selections, will be available on those evenings, as well. See below for guest artists, programs, and picnic menus.
Tickets for each Festival concert are $25 per person, and a set of tickets for all three Festival concerts is $65. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Picnics are $18 each, plus tax ($19.26). Picnic pick-up is begins at 6:00 p.m.

- Monday, August 18 (‘Brahms’): An Austrian Wurst Salad Picnic Supper SOLD OUT
A selection of imported meats and cheeses including ham, Jarlsberg cheese, and summer sausage; served on a bed of greens with potato salad and pickled beets and accompanied by chilled strawberry soup and peasant bread. Dessert is an apple strudel turnover and dessert chocolate.
- Wednesday, August 20 (‘Tango’): An Argentinean Summer Picnic
Gaucho Salad - grilled marinated steak served on a bed of fresh garden greens with chimichurri sauce, served with asado salad - caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, accompanied by a fruit and cheese appetizer and baguette. Dessert is dulce de leche alfajores and dessert chocolate.
- Thursday, August 21 (‘Acadian’): A Maritime Picnic Supper
Maine Crab Salad Plate served on a bed of fresh garden greens with summer veggies and Maine potato salad, accompanied by smoked salmon spread and crackers. Dessert is Maine blueberry grunt bars and dessert chocolate.
