What’s In Bloom – July 30, 2024

What's In Bloom

Highlights: As summer stretches on, rose-of-Sharon (Hibiscus), panicled hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata), clethra (Clethera spp.), and lilies (Lilium spp.) are coming into bloom across the gardens. There are a number of especially dazzling examples of these lilies throughout the Garden’s grounds this week: the aptly named Lilium ‘Tricolor’ in the triangular back bed of the Lerner Visitor Center gardens, the cluster of lemon-yellow Lilium ‘Felino’ growing in the Great Lawn, and the tall deep magenta blooms of Lilium ‘Borello’ in the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses.
