This week, some of the later–blooming peonies and earlier–blooming lilies will look marvelous. The Haney Hillside Garden will be speckled with clusters of white, red, and pink as the mountain laurel begins to flower. Ashe’s magnolia near the entrance to the Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden is opening its buds – each individual flower of this unusual tree can be up to a foot in diameter!
