The Forest in Watercolor

Using watercolor, capture the peace and majestic beauty of our forests. With a few basic skills, watercolor can produce rich and illuminating paintings. In this class we’ll explore some of the techniques used to build depth, atmosphere, and capture a sense of light. Join Erica for this three-day hybrid class and enjoy painting CMBG’s forest gardens. Conducted via Zoom, day one will include group instruction. Days two and three will be held at the Gardens where participants will paint en plein air, receiving one-on-one instruction and feedback. Social distancing and face coverings will be required.
Erica Qualey is a MidCoast Maine watercolor artist and illustrator. A member of the New England Watercolor Socieity, she has exhibited widely across the US and Canada. A published artist, she has led workshops and classes from the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland to the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle
