Young Birders Club (Ages 10-18)
May 4, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 8:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until June 15, 2021
Inviting all young and aspiring birders to join us for our first ever Gardens birding club! Youth ages 10 and up can join our resident birders every other week this spring to identify birds migrating through Maine as well as those spending the season nesting and raising their young here. Participants will learn to identify birds by their calls and features and will be encouraged to keep a record of observations through eBird. New birds will be observed as the season progresses, so please be sure to register separately for each session you would like to attend. Though programming will take place outdoors, participants are required to wear a face covering at all times.
Please note: In an effort to keep the group size small, this is a drop-off program. If your child would be more comfortable with you nearby, please contact Erika Huber at ehuber@mainegardens.org before the session to discuss options. If this session is full, please call 207-633-8000 to be added to our waiting list.
